Dissertation Deep Dive

The Dissertation Deep Dive is aimed at students who have a significant portion of their dissertations completed and expect to file between September 2024 and June 2025. During this 3-day on-campus retreat, writers can work on drafting a new chapter or revising what they have already written. The Deep Dive gives students copious amounts of quiet writing time. Students are placed in small groups with a non-UCR faculty mentor, allowing students to seek feedback and network. To be eligible, students must have an expected completion date of no later than June 2025, have two chapter drafts already completed, and expect to be enrolled as a full-time graduate student OR be on filing fee in a CHASS department in Fall 2024.
